Hagios Health & Wellness Clinic (“Hagios,” “we,” “us”) operates the Hagios Health mobile application (the “App”) as a companion for patients in our physician-supervised wellness programs, including medically supervised weight-loss care. This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to the App and to the emails we send in connection with it.
We are a clinic. The information you record in the App is health information, and we treat it that way: it is used to support your care, and for nothing else. We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Information we collect
Account information. Your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only in securely hashed form; we cannot read them.
Profile information you provide. Your name, date of birth, sex, height, weight, goal weight, and any health conditions, goals, or allergies you choose to enter during onboarding or afterwards.
Health information you record in the App.
- Medication doses you log, including the medication (recorded by its generic name, such as semaglutide or tirzepatide), the dose, and any side effects you report;
- Weight entries;
- Body measurements, such as waist circumference;
- Nutrition and habit entries you choose to record.
Device information for notifications. If you enable dose reminders, a notification token for your device. Reminders are scheduled on your own device; the content of your reminders is not sent to our servers.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the App contains no third-party advertising or marketing analytics.
How we use your information
- To operate the App: securely storing your entries and showing you your own progress, trends, and history;
- To support your care at the clinic, where you have consented to share your information with our care team (see “Your choices” below);
- To send you a weekly progress summary by email, if you have opted in;
- To deliver dose reminders you schedule;
- To keep the App secure, prevent misuse, and comply with our legal obligations as a health-care provider.
Your choices: two separate consents
During onboarding the App asks you two distinct questions, and each is optional:
- Sharing with your care team. If you consent, the Hagios Health & Wellness Team receives a weekly report drawn from your App entries — for example, missed doses, reported side effects, or a period of inactivity — so that we can reach out and support you. If you do not consent, your entries stay private to your own account and are not included in care-team reports.
- Weekly summary emails. If you opt in, we email you a summary of your week. If you do not, we don’t.
You can change either choice at any time in the App’s profile settings, and the change takes effect from that point on.
Who can see your information
Your information is visible to you in the App, and — only if you have consented to care-team sharing — to the Hagios Health & Wellness Team at the clinic through a weekly report delivered to a single, access-controlled clinic mailbox. Access within the clinic is limited to the team involved in your care.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose information outside the clinic only if required by law, or where necessary to protect a person’s vital interests.
Service providers
Like most modern digital services, we rely on a small number of providers to run our infrastructure. Each processes your information only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and backend hosting for the App. Your App data is stored on Supabase infrastructure located in the United States.
- Resend — delivery of the emails we send (such as your weekly summary and account emails).
- Apple and Google — distribution of the App through their app stores and delivery of push notifications on their platforms.
Security
Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to data in our database is restricted with row-level security so that each account can reach only its own records, and clinic access is limited to the minimum needed for your care. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat the protection of your health information as a core obligation of running a clinic, not an afterthought.
Retention and deletion
If you delete your account in the App, your account is deactivated immediately and your sessions are signed out. We then retain your records only as long as we are required to as a health-care provider — clinical record-keeping obligations under the law of Trinidad and Tobago may require us to keep certain records for a defined period — after which they are deleted.
You can also contact us at any time (details below) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and we will honour the request to the fullest extent the law allows.
Children
The App is intended for adults enrolled in our programs and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this address and update the effective date above. For significant changes we will also notify you in the App or by email.
